Hibernation Mode
The new AD2950 now has a hibernation mode whereas the tip power will shut completely off when the unit enters into the hibernation mode. The AD2950 can be set to go into the hibernation mode between 0 and 60 minutes. This feature can not only save tips, it also protects against potential fire hazards.

NEW SOFTWARE
With the new AD2950 you can set the parameters to only allow the operator a maximum adjustment of ±99°F (50°C)? This is now incorporated into the software of the AD2950 along with other features that a supervisor will appreciate. Sleep mode, Hibernation mode, lock out of parameters by PIN, are all included in this highly competitive digital soldering station.

Lunch Mode
Have you ever seen a soldering station that will shut off for lunch when you place the handpiece in the proper place in the stand (See Image at lower left of Page), and be ready in 2 seconds by lifting the handpiece from the stand when you return from lunch? This also applies if you are only using the solder station intermittently as a technician would.

Also with the handset in this position on the stand, the tip remains cool, even with the base power on. We call this the lunch mode.
