Innovative Features of the Advanced Series AD2950:
I know, you are wondering what features this line could have that other
tools do not have. I have to say they are numerous and I am sure that you
have not seen any tools like these before. I will attempt to list some of
the features. Some you may believe, and some you may not, but I can assure
you they are all true.1.

now has a hibernation mode whereas the tip power will shut completely off

EXTRA FEATURE
When you place the handpiece in the
holder on top, it immediately goes into the sleep mode, but if you are going to
lunch or not using the handpiece for awhile, you can place the handpiece into
the cartridge holder at the bottom and it will shut the handpiece off. When you
pick it up ready to solder, it will reach solder temperature in 2 seconds. |

Features of the AD2950
Digital control unit AD 2950 is the basic
control unit that allows operation alternatively with a 20w or 50W soldering
iron, covering all electronics soldering requirements.
The stand for the soldering iron is integrated with the control unit and is
“intelligent” which means it is aware when the soldering iron is in the
stand and reduces the temperature, remaining in the “sleep cycle”. The stand
incorporates a tip extractor/inserter, which allows the use of two types of
tip.
For temperature control and other characteristics, a microprocessor is used
enabling the AD2950 to offer a high productivity and the lowest cost of
ownership ever.

LOW-TEMPERATURE SOLDERING
Thanks to its recovery ability, you can now
work with much lower temperatures than before, which eliminates the risk of
damaging the circuit, the components, or the PC board traces through
excessive heating.
THE SMALLEST AND LIGHTEST ON THE MARKET
The Advanced series soldering handpieces have
the lowest weight and size you can find, and the shortest tip-to-handle
distance in their class (2210 = 25mm) ( 2245 = 38mm)
ALWAYS READY
When the soldering iron is left in its stand, the system reduces the tip
temperature to prevent the solder oxidizing - this way the tip is always
tinned, and lasts 5 times as long.
TWO-IN-ONE
Any of the Advanced models will give you two
soldering irons in one. Their instant heat response will enable you to
switch cartridge models and continue soldering in less than 10 seconds
thereby substantially increasing productivity. |

Also with the handset in this position on the stand, the tip remains cool,
even with the base power on. We call this the lunch mode. |
